I spent a sunny Tuesday morning with friend and artist Leyman Lahcine.
After stepping into his studio wondering why he had such a plethora of unseen work, he explained that he paints solely for the positive feeling it brings him. I could quickly see this would keep the distances between emotion, inspiration and brush-to-canvas as close as possible. Trying to get delve deeper into his work, was also met with a warm, nonchalant and perfect answer. "I don't like telling people what each piece is about. What it means to me is different to what it might mean for someone else".
